Fertilization

Rudolf Steiner introduced, very often, its
talks on the manure by an indication relating to the preparations,
scientifically founded concerning the requirements out of proteins in the human
nutrition. At the beginning of the century, one considered that an adult
needed 120 grams of proteins per day. This quantity is reduced today by half, to
see more.
This example shows the problem of the experimental or analytical quantification
of the real needs and that of the durable effects in a complex biological
system.
In agriculture, one is vis-a-vis with a similar problem as regards the
measurement and the choice of the manure.
These two elements must be given according to the biological state of the ground
and the specific characters of the agricultural organization.
The organic manure brings on the organic ground nutrients and substances, which
maintains the fertility and the content of humus on a suitable level.
The manure, as a vivification of the soil, is done within the framework of the
internal cycles of substances of the field. It is on them which the degree of
self-sufficiency of the field rests.
Flows of nutrients in the
agricultural organization in self-sufficiency, almost integral, depend :
●
total and
mobilizable reserves of the nutrients of soil, and local climate
●
relations
between soil and plant
●
specific
mobilization of the nutritive substance, and
●
assimilation of
this substance by the cultures
●
specific
quantities of crop waste products and their content of nutrients
●
length and
diversity of the roots and their use of the nutrients in the basement
●
secretions of
the roots, formation of a rhizosphère, mycorhizes
●
influence of
farming measurements on the release, the conservation and the loss of nutrients
●
manure of farm,
collects vegetation wastes, animal excretions liquidate and solids
●
storage of the
residues, composting
●
period of use
and quantity used
●
other farm
waste (transformation)
●
grounds and of
their use
●
purchase of
organic and animal waste of the trade, or of mineral substances.
Plants assimilate nutrients variously
and also differently transpose them in the output and quality. The farming mode
thus has a great influence on the release of the reserves of the ground.
Manure must consist of a vivification of
the ground.
