Presentation of
Demeter France Association
Biodynamic agriculture has existed since 1924. The goal of it is to look after
the Earth, to regenerate the soils, and to support integration within the same
agricultural Field livestock and cultures. The biodynamic farmers, thanks to
the manure and with preparations containing medicinal plants and minerals, by
respecting the rates/rhythms of the Earth and Cosmos, work in this direction.
This durable and respectful agriculture of the environment, brings a food
healthy and vivifying to the consumer.
DEMETER is the international mark,
registred since 1932, for products resulting from Biodynamic Agriculture. It
exists in more than 50 countries in the world: from Canada, Italy, Germany to Australia.
Due to the diversity of its
members, Demeter carried on very varied objectives:
Management of marks DEMETER, BIODYN
and In Conversion DEMETER:
● definition of the rules of
production, transformation (schedules of conditions),
● control and certification for producers, wholesalers, processors.
Coordination for the sale of the
products resulting from Biodynamic Agriculture:
● regrouping
producers, wholesalers, processors and tradesmen,
● support for the marketing of products,
● manufacture and diffusion of equipment for the promotion and the beneficiation
products from Biodynamic Agriculture by the above mentioned marks.
Development and harmonization of
the relations and exchanges:
● reinforcement of the bonds
between producer and consumer,
● edition of documents and information,
● sensitizing of the consumer,
● bonds with the national and international organizations of Biodynamic Agriculture.
Contacts with the official
organizations:
● taking into account of
specificities of Biodynamic Agriculture,
● controls and analyses,
● follow-up of the official regulation.
And more generally, development of
Biodynamic Agriculture by any type of actions for an awakening on the
importance of the biodynamic culture.
DEMETER FRANCE association, created
in 1979, gathers people and structures wishing to connect itself to
this mark : producer to consumer. Any person sensitive to this step
related to Biodynamic Agriculture and wanting to give her support for
Association can also be member for it.
